• Wearable Art: Fashion Books

This week I’m especially excited to be sharing with you my top three wearable art fashion books that deserve a spot on your coffee table.

I’m someone which is infatuated with the artistic qualities in wearable art. So, when I came across the works of Daisy Balloon I was instantly captivated by the  designers design concepts and formation.

The designer behind the metamorphic Daisy Balloon collection which debut over five years ago is called Rie Hosokai who works alongside his graphic designer Takashi Kawada.

Daisy Balloon’s second volume photographic book has just been released its one to have with mesmerising images showcasing their most recent works.

Nick Knight is a pioneering photographer and film maker who I had the pleasure of listing to at the Vogue fashion festival earlier this year. Although Knight does not make wearable art or fashion tech its self he is very much still involved in the making and delivering of the artistic direction which knights work is based on contemporary technology techniques and devices.

Three: FreshFruits

Fashion has its five capitals each with its own set of distinctive designers and fashionista's to make fashion what it is today. Tokyo has one of the most unique fashion inhabitant’s where fashion enthusiast dress in fascinating wearable art pieces on a general day to day.

The Japanese fashion culture is in complete contrast with the rest of the world. Fashion street styles in Japan are bold in a kamp kitsch aesthetic which they all follow a particular theme trend. To be able to  fully encapsulate wearable art fashion in Japanese culture this Fresh Fruits book will take you into another worldly fashion dimension.
