• Muuse: Katarzyna Juzak

I was lucky enough to have got the chance to go down to London Fashion Week for S/S 14 shows. Whilst I was down there I had enough time to have a peak at one of the exhibitions they had going on. I instantly fell in love with this niche label that unites the crème de la crème of emerging designers with the means to produce and market their collections.

The label that I just can’t stop ecstatically gushing about is called Muuse. The company is an international fashion label that produces collections globally with its handpicked fashion talents. The company is based in Copenhagen, with scouts in all the respective fashion capitals. The company strives to only collaborate with designers that have a strong passion for quality and impeccable design skills.

You can purchase any of the pieces from the designers on its online shop and selected retailers. I love the ingenuity of this fashion label because it allows for young talents to be recognised. It is a renowned fact that junior designers struggle with getting their foot in the door of the fashion industry, for many it can be a hard graft in achieving their career dreams in which many have been exploited along the way with ridiculous unpaid internships. The challenges up and coming designers face are often revolved around funding the initial collection, for many it is virtually financially impossible for them to do, because a graduated would need substantial amounts of money to invest into sourcing the fabrics and the production of the collection.

I love this fashion label because there is so much edgy, quirky cool innovation going on which is all transpired into inspiring designs with unique concepts. If it wasn't for the establishment of Muuse more likely than not at least fifty per cent of the designers they showcase would not of necessarily of had the opportunity to produce their own work again. Talents of this calibre would typically embark on a career journey working for a large fashion house company , never producing their own collection again and potentially loosing their signature style and creativity along the way.

Muuse provides another career path, where designer can have more freedom in the designs they produce, allowing them to cement their own signature style which is far more rewarding for them and work that they can call truly their own. Muuse and the designers pride themselves on the up most precision and care in craftsmanship to deliver essentially designer fashion that is not half as expensive as if you were to do your new season shop on Farfetch.

One designer of the many designers whom they work with struck me as blindingly good. The designer goes by the name Katarzyna Juzak who has designed and produced a collection in collaboration with Muuse.  The designer is from Poland but is now based in London, she graduated from Cambridge school of Art back in 2012. Since then she has been hard at work trying to establish her own label. Juzak launched her collection with Muuse entitled The Worldof Tomorrow. The collection focuses on minimalist geometric shapes that form strong sculptural silhouettes, contrasting with intricate copper detailing.

This is a wearable art collection that I am totally obsessed with. Much of the designer’s inspiration draws on the future; this notion enables her to come up with bewitching revolutionary designs that are eye catching to say the least. Juzak is also inspired by art and strong individual charisma. Katarzyna Juzaks work would appeal to the affluent young independent women who already has established her own personal style as many of the pieces are sophisticated with confident bold shapes.

I love the fact that the collection of clothes visually conveys her inspirations, in which the she draws heavily on the ideology of 'freedom of expression and the emancipation of a women'.

I’m more than stoked about this designer’s wearable art talent. Watch the video of her collection and let me know what do you think...
