• Fashion Etiquette: How to hold your Bag

Handbags are the one piece of fashion that I genuinely believe I can not live without. The handbag is one of the most powerful fashion accessories that can do wonders for the most normcore of looks.

I would say that I'm a designer handbag kind of girl, high street styles simply don’t inspire me to buy them. Everyone has got a bag from the high street which makes it loose its special appeal, they also just don't withstand any form of durability and before you know it needs to go in the bin.

Investing in a designer handbag will always be that worthwhile piece as it can formulate the key component to all your wardrobe ensembles. Designer bags are also untouchable when it comes to quality and craftsmanship. The variation in design styles are far more fascinating in there unforeseeable forms.

As much as fashion is all about picking the right pieces to suit your personal style,  fashion is also about the way in which you rock those avant-garde style picks, how they are formulated in an outfit makes all the difference. There is nothing worse that designer piece being inadequately styled, it can detract from the fun which is what fashion is all about.

In 2012 a trend started unfolding on not what bags to wear but how to wear them with your most fashion forward ensembles. Another Magazine picked up on how models were holding clutch pieces as they went down the runway.

This has seen this fashion etiquette transpire into an even bigger trend where each show has seen designers put a twist on the way you can wear there bag.  For the attentive fashionista I've listed the top 5 bag holding options that will have heads turning at your fresh style this summer.

One: Marni

Marni key bag piece for this collection is an oversized coin bag. The bag is a style that can go over the shoulder over and the across the body. Marni completely dismiss' any normal ways of previously rocking this  style of bag by sending their models down the runway holding the bag in one hand half way down the straps.

Michael Kors

This bag holding option details a rather simple approach, take any bag be it tote or clutch, squash and hold the piece tight to the upper body and you have got it. This is one on the easiest ways to try out holding your bag in another way.

Chloe

Models at his show hold a bag in such a way that the small detailing has key effect on the overall styling of the look. Continuing the folding bag style trend Chloe etiquette for the season requires you to fold your bag and hold it tight to the body by the hip. This style of bag holding is also seen across a few other designers that include Celine.

Céline

If you choose to hold a bag like the models in the Céline show beware any possessions you have in it may well of gone the next time you look in your bag. To hold your bag in a Céline way this season means that you  walk with your bag open. You hold it by the one strap for the contents to be on display and thats it.  Not the wisest style details to go for thats of course if you don’t mind getting robbed!

Miu Miu

This bag holding option is one of the easiest options. Much of the bags styles from the runway are clutches which you hold clamped in one corner with the majority of the piece facing away. This is a more conventional way of holding a bag although I’d still be reluctant to hold it in this way going through London.

What do you think to all the bag holding options, are you going to test any of these styling details out?
