• The Selfie Scandle: Personalised 3D Candles

I guess it’s that time of year of when we actually have to start getting in the spirit, thinking about Christmas.

It all takes a lot of organisation and this year I’m determined to get everything done on time. The holiday requests have been booked and approved, which leaves me deciphering on the decorations, food, drinks and of course the prezzies…

One special gift idea I stumbled across recently is an ideal present for any of your most beloved friends or family, and that includes grandpa and grandma too!

It’s no secret we are living in a selfie era, selfie photo taking has been such a phenomenom it has even transpired into other forms selfie picture taking like 'Belfies' and 'Telfies'. Embracing the selfie dynasty at it's fullest, 3D printing company iMaker has collaborated with Paris Department store Le Bon Marche offering us miniature 3D printed candles in bust sculptures.

The concept is simple, yet fantastic! It’s a revolutionary concept that disregards the skills of sculpture artist, instead delivering an artful piece that has been digitally constructed in a matter of minutes. The process simply sees a 3D scan sent to iMakers store in London, which is then printed in silicone so the mould can be cast into wax, creating a amazing selfie Scandle wax work!

The Scandle would make an awesome Christmas present, as it's personalised and can be that keepsake which is timeless and cool. Paris is a little far for a one stop trip for a Scandle, rest assured because you can submit 3 photo’s online to Mini-You and have your order shipped to where ever you are within 7 working days.

Mounted on a black base, the candles are available in two different sizes, costing £199 and £299. The eponymous  gift can be made in colours, pink, orange, green and grey with a choice of five fabulous smelling scents.

The Scandle for sure will put a smile on someone’s face this Christmas, where I’m sure this gift idea will be a cause for a selfie of a selfie!

Will you be getting a Scandle for your loved one this Christmas?
