I’ve got six real tattoos in total; people say you will
regret it. I don’t really to be honest because they all had a personal meaning
at the time and I feel like they are an intrinsic part of my life's journey.
However, I do have one which is rather
embarrassing and it was only recently that I thought of possibly having the tramp stamp
removed, but it seems I need to hold my horses as tattooed body art is back on trend more so than ever…Well,
the blinging kind at least!
A new wave of
tattoos taken the fashion and beauty stratosphere by a storm, where
gold tats are the latest way to accessories your look. The stenciled body art tattoos
are semi-permanent and can be placed anywhere on the body, wear them running down your chest, to place them flowing down the edge of your baby finger.
The tattoo’s come in metallic shades that of silver and gold,
the stencil application which of course means that they are not a permanent feature on the
skin. There are so many styles patterns
and designs to opt form with magnitudes of style variations that can go
around the fingers and wrist as illusion like rings and bracelets.
Metallic tattoos are relatively affordable where a pack
would usually cost well under £20 that is if you don’t go designer
with Doir’s rendition which sees 24
carat gold tattoos that fully encapsulates the metallic tattoo phenomenon.
Tattoos were once reserved for those that liked the
alternative look, but because this stencil transfers can be washed off in a
matter of minutes it means every and anyone can embrace the body art aesthetic.
Celebrities like Beyonce and Angenlina Jolie have all had a dabble at wearing
this skin jewellery which can elevate your look by giving your
style that effortless depth and texture.
There are no hard or fast rules when it comes to wearing the
body art transfers. Although for an impacting statement look, the tats look
great worn with lots of jewellery like bangles and stacked ring
compositions. Let’s face it no one’s
going to wake up early in the morning and adorn 2D jewellery for the office but
they are great for special occasionsto party looks and could potentially work well in enhancing your weekend
look.
Metallic tattoos are just fabulous because they provide an
innovative way to explore your personal style. Like shopping for fashion
choosing pieces that suit your style as this will lend to completing a your overall look personal to you.

What do you think, are you tempted by the metallic body art?
I bought the Beautiful Non-Permanent Jewelry Tattoos in Gold and Silver package of Flash Tattoos before they were up on the Birchbox site...I saw them/their company on instagram and immediately fell in love. You receive 4 pages of very pretty designs you can cut and customize anywhere on yourself. I love the metallic silver and gold because it is jewelry inspired....everyone has been asking me about them. They do stay on for a long time and look awesome on tan skin.
